CARCANCHO, Chilean Yeti

Aunque parezca increíble y fantástico, existen varios registros de avistamientos y encuentros con seres antropomorfos de más de 2 mts. de altura, de frondoso pelaje, vientre abultado y poderosos brazos. En la época del 50' en la cordillera de Rengo y en los 80's en las zonas boscosas de Limache.
Hace poco, conversando con el investigador Victor Toloza, me contó de avistamientos en las montañas del Bío Bío y La Araucanía.
Como a muchos, me fascina este relato, que al igual que en distintas partes del mundo, los gigantes de los bosques, forman parte del #Patrimonio Inmaterial de las culturas de la tierra.
Esta es mi interpretación del gran Carcancho

Para el desarrollo de esta Ilustración usé cartón Crescent con imprimación al Gesso. Hice una grisalla con Acrílicos y para todo el proceso de color use Óleos Alquídicos Griffin de #WinsorandNewton.

CARCANCHO, the Chilean Yeti

Although it may seem incredible and fantastic, there are several records of sightings and encounters with anthropomorphic beings over 2 meters tall, with thick fur, bulging bellies and powerful arms. In the 50's in the Rengo mountain range and in the 80's in the wooded areas of Limache.
Recently, talking with the researcher Victor Toloza, he told me about sightings in the mountains of Bío Bío and La Araucanía.
Like many, I am fascinated by this story, that as in different parts of the world, the giants of the forests, are part of the #Immaterial Heritage of the cultures of the earth.
This is my interpretation of the great Carcancho

For the development of this work I used Crescent cardboard with Gesso. I made a grisaille with Acrylics and for all the color process I used Griffin Alkyd Oils from #WinsorandNewton.
